GINA LITTLE W LEICA.jpg

A hollow bone…

I approach and am called to every photograph I make in this way

A pure collaboration

The meaning is layers within

The vision appears

I never name my art

It is for you to SEE and FEEL with deepest clarity

Lean in hard

Because this is worth it

Source whispers…

As above

So below

GINA TARO “IS” VISUAL.

SHE WAS DESTINED TO BECOME A PHOTOGRAPHER.

Gina Taro is an artist with a rare vision and the talent to translate it into extraordinary photographs. Born into a closeknit-family in California’s San Joaquin Valley, she was destined to pick up a camera. Both her father and grandfather were professional photographers, working in France, New York and Hollywood. Many of Gina’s earliest and fondest memories include being literally surrounded by cameras and darkrooms. Her artistic journey would take her far from the valley of her youth as she traveled extensively, earned degrees in photography and social science, and built an impressive career as a photographic storyteller. Her fine art photography encompasses many different subjects but all come with an

intensity, exquisite attention to detail and a certain sensuality that make them unique and so unmistakably Gina Taro’s vision. Gina is widely published and has exhibited nationally and internationally. She teaches private and corporate photography seminars focusing on the power and passion of the medium, and

she was also Director of Photography for ARTWORKS Magazine, a national publication dedicated to art in all its many forms. Gina lives in Carmel, California – a sophisticated community with a rich artistic tradition. From poet Robinson Jeffers, to rocker Janis Joplin to photography legend Edward Westin, Carmel has always had an incredible creative vibe, and continues to provide the backdrop for a new generation of talented artists like Gina Taro.
