With every step up this mountain my horse is discerning the way.
It’s cold this early morning in March...light snow still on the ground.
As we traverse up through the creeks and trees...
I’m talking with her...

I said it out loud and thought it a few times more...leaning forward in the saddle as we go up...
this terrain is challenging and achingly beautiful...
untouched deep in these Sierra Nevada’s...
at 7500 ft we broke through the forest at the top of the mountain...
looking across the ridge line...the sun just above it and my eyes filled with
the wonder of
this Light Waterfall
cascading through pristine
blue-green pines.
The natural world
astonishes us...
heals us...
I breathe in deep...✨
